Medication Questions in Spanish · Preguntas sobre medicinas
A medication review is where misunderstandings are most costly. These questions cover what the patient takes, how much, and how often.
La revisión de medicinas es donde más importa entender bien: qué toma, cuánto y con qué frecuencia.

Pronunciation tips · Cómo pronunciarlo
- “Medicina” and “medicamento” are both used. Patients say “medicina” or “remedio” in everyday speech.
- Dosis is DOH-sis, not “dow-sis.” The “o” is short and round.
- Z and c (before e / i) sound like “s” in Latin America: “frecuencia” is freh-KWEN-syah.
Common mistakes · Errores comunes
- Asking only “¿Toma medicinas?”. Patients may not count vitamins, teas, or remedies from home. Ask about each type. · Pregunta por tés y remedios.
- Trusting a memorized list. Ask to see the bottles; names and doses change. · Pide ver los frascos.
- Not asking about adherence. “¿Se le olvida alguna dosis?” opens the door without blame. · Pregunta sin juzgar.
Before you rely on a phrase list · Antes de usar frases
