MedEar Spanish Privacy Policy

MedEar Spanish is a medical visit communication assistant designed to help Spanish-speaking patients understand and communicate with English-speaking healthcare professionals. This policy explains how MedEar Spanish handles information.

Microphone And Speech Recognition

MedEar Spanish requests microphone access so you can record speech during a medical visit. The app uses Apple Speech Recognition by default for fast transcription. Apple Speech Recognition may process speech requests according to Apple's privacy practices and system settings.

On supported iPhones, users may choose to download an offline WhisperKit model for local speech recognition. Offline mode is optional and is intended for users who prefer local processing where available.

AIBC International LLC does not operate its own speech-recognition server for MedEar Spanish and does not receive, store, or sell your audio recordings or medical visit transcripts.

Local Storage

Visit history, transcripts, detected medical terms, and generated visit summaries are stored locally on your device. Sensitive visit text is protected using local encrypted storage where supported by the device and operating system.

Translation

Express Symptoms mode may use Google Translate to translate symptom descriptions from Spanish to English. Text that you submit for translation may be processed by Google according to Google's privacy practices. Do not enter information you do not want processed by Google.

Purchases

If MedEar Spanish offers in-app purchases, payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. AIBC International LLC does not receive your full payment card details.

Data Sharing

AIBC International LLC does not sell personal information. We do not use MedEar Spanish visit content for advertising. We may process limited technical information necessary to operate, support, secure, and improve the app.

Children

MedEar Spanish is intended for use by adults or under adult supervision. It is not directed to children as a standalone medical or diagnostic tool.

Your Choices

You can deny microphone or speech recognition access, but recording and transcription features will not work.
You can choose Apple Speech Recognition by default or optional offline speech recognition on supported iPhones.
You can delete visit records inside the app where available.
You can delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data.
